REYNO DE ARRAVAN IN GULFOOD 2017
15 May, 2017

Last March, the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, located in the “Dubai World Trade Centre” (United Arab Emirates) opened its doors to carry out the 22th edition of GULFOOD (2017). The food industry keeps growing in an impressive way: nowadays, the market valued represents more than $5 trillion globally and GULFOOD grows with it too.
Reyno de Arravan was present at this important exhibition, which welcomed during 5 days more than 120 countries, around 95,000 visitors and 5,000 exhibitors, according to the official website (in comparison with 3,300 exhibitors, 76 countries and 45,489 visitors in 2014), what can gives us an idea of the importance of that event in our sector and its evolution.
This is the Middle East’s biggest food event. The countries of the Persian Gulf are among the richest countries in the world per capita. The economic and population growth of those countries during the latest years is causing a rise in the consumption of eating products. The average annual growth rate is estimated at 4 or 5% in the sector. What’s more, if the field of influence extend itself in the neighbouring countries like Afghanistan or Pakistan, the potential market would ascend to 250 million residents.
Last January, we communicated our presence one more time in this event to you: We were here, indeed, and we seized the opportunity to show our quality products to many people, introducing them in our stand the various kinds of oil that form our catalogue. Since 1987, many buyers come to GULFOOD each year to find suppliers and 90% of them confirm the fact that this event fulfils their business objectives. As a matter of fact, it has reinforced our urge to develop our international strategy and has raised our visibility in the world.
